IKEducation consistently delivers programs for the Presidential Primary Source Project, a partnership between Internet2, the National Park Service, and the National Archives and Records Administration. This initiative transports students to significant places that shaped the lives of our nation’s past presidents through engaging online programs.
Recently, IKEducation co-presented From General to President to Me, a collaborative program involving educators from the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, the Ulysses Grant National Historic Site, and George Washington’s Mount Vernon. Students learned about the strong character traits that enabled these great leaders to guide the nation, and how they can apply these traits in their own lives.
In another program, IKEducation partnered with the National Mall and Memorial Park in Washington, D.C., to explore and investigate both the World War II and Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorials. Educators from all three sites examined the quotes, symbols, and stories within each memorial, offering students a deeper understanding of these important historical landmarks.
