In February, the Eisenhower Foundation invited its Friends of the Foundation to campus for an exclusive sneak peek of the completed Eisenhower Boyhood Home project. The Home had been closed for tours while undergoing a months-long preservation project, which included a comprehensive exterior restoration along with several maintenance and aesthetic updates to the home’s interior.

During this special reception, tours of the home were led by Joy Murphy, Library Director of Learning and Engagement. Additionally, Museum Curator William Snyder gave a presentation titled Preserving the Past for Future Generations, which highlighted key aspects of the preservation process.

This project was funded through a combination of federal funds and private donations from our Friends of the Eisenhower Foundation.

The Boyhood Home is now open to the public, with tours available Tuesday through Saturday at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., and on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum website.
