George Holm

George Holm was born February 9, 1928 in Dwight, KS to Ivar and Birttie Holm. Holm attended local schools and graduated from Dwight High School May 17, 1945. He entered the Navy in 1945 and was discharged August 1946. He married Betty Arney, their married life beginning in Dwight, KS. The couple moved to Emporia , KS where George worked at a dealership. In 1969 the couple moved to Ellsworth, KS buying a dealership, he sold it to a son, Jeff, in 1983 and moved on to buy another dealership in Abilene, KS. Holm sold that dealership to son, Tim,  when he retired in 1993.
