David Warkentine

David A Warkentine was born August 31, 1926 on a farm near Goessell, KS to Henry and Katie (Schmidt) Warkentine. David enjoyed life with his two older brothers and a younger sister on the family farm. During World War II, he worked for area farmed until he turned 18, when he was drafted and entered into the Navy. He served a short time and returned to Peabody, KS where he met his future wife, Barbara, a local school teacher. Courtesy of legacy.com
