Biography

Louis Stammeyer was born March 28, 1911 and was inducted into the Army at age 30 at Fort Leavenworth, KS. His basic training was in Camp Roberts, CA. Stammeyer was sent overseas from Washington state, serving his time in Alaska. Stammeyer was a barber, in the service with the Infantry Replacement Training Center, as he was by profession at home
