Edward Mathews

Edward Mathews was born in Independence , MO. At age 17 he joined the Navy and five days after graduating High School he was going off to war. He became a Radio Technician stationed on the USS Golf - a destroyer. As the war went on he switched and began training to become a Navy Seal but the bombs were dropped in Japan, the war ended and his training on Coronado Island also ended.
