BIOGRAPHY
Alva L Duckwall Jr, a married white man, was residing in Riley County, Kansas and had 4 years of college. He was employed as manager/official. At age 23, he enlisted in the spring of 1942 in Manhattan, Kansas under Army serial number 17083194 into Army Air Corps. He achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant and was awarded the Purple Heart. After being discharged, he led a productive and active life in his community. Among many other honorary positions and roles, he was the president and chairman of the board of directors for Duckwall-Alco Co. He was also a trustee of the Eisenhower Foundation.
