Tech Sergeant Hawkins served in the 180th Infantry Regiment of the 45th Division. He received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star with an Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Good Conduct Medal. After service, he was a new car dealer for 35 years. He married Rochelle Hudson and they had three children, Mike, Connie and Jeff. They also have four grandchildren Audra, Katie, Whit and Ro.
