Private First Class Frank Dixon Reed served in the European Theatre, Normandy, and Germany with the Army. During his service we was awarded the EAMET Service Ribbon w/two Bronze Battle Stars, the Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Sharpshooter Badge w/Rifle Bar.

Clarence Reed was born in 1911 in Texas. He completed one year of High School and was married when he joined the US Army. The US enlistment records list Reed of black decent and residing in Sedgwick Co. KS at the time he was inducted into the Army. Courtesy of fold3.com and Kansas Historical Society.

BIOGRAPHY

Clarence A. Reed was born in 1909 in Oklahoma. He completed one year of High School, was married and working in Brown Co. Kansas, as a chauffeur/bus/taxi driver when he entered the US Army. He was inducted at Fort Leavenworth on 11/10/1943. Reed was stationed somewhere in Europe and was killed, April of 1945 according to the US enlistment records. Courtesy of fold3.com.
