In February, the Eisenhower Foundation invited its Friends of the Foundation to campus for a sneak peek of the completed Eisenhower Boyhood Home project. The Home had been closed for tours while undergoing a months-long preservation project, which included a comprehensive exterior preservation in addition to several maintenance and aesthetic updates to the home’s interior.

During this special reception, home tours were given by Joy Murphy, Library Director of Learning and Engagement. Museum Curator, William Snyder, gave a special presentation, Preserving the Past for Future Generations, that highlighted aspects of the preservation process.

This project was funded through a combination of federal funds and private funds from our Friends of the Eisenhower Foundation.

The Boyhood Home is now open to the public and tours are available Tuesday through Saturday at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.; and Sunday 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Visit the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum website for more information or to purchase tickets.
