About

This document includes a letter from Hans Prydz, chairman of the Norwegian Students’ Association, to James C. Hagerty, Press Secretary to President Dwight D. Eisenhower, along with a resolution unanimously adopted on October 15, 1955. Prydz asks the White House to deliver the enclosed resolution to Mamie Bradley (Mamie Till-Mobley) after previous attempts through the U.S. Embassy and direct mail were unsuccessful.

The resolution declares that every person deserves equal legal protection regardless of race, religion, or social status. It argues that this principle was violated during the Emmett Till murder trial, expresses sympathy for Mamie Till-Mobley, and condemns the failure of justice in the case.
