Biography

Graduated Airborne and Demolitions Schools. Paratrooper with Demolitions Platoon, Headquarters Company, 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division. Served in Battle of the Bulge, parachuted across the Rhine in Operation VARSITY. After V-E Day, served in Communications Platoon of 507th PIR during occupation of Essen, then in the 504th PIR during occupation of Berlin. Discharged January 1946 in Los Angeles, California. Recipient of the Combat Infantryman Badge.
