Biography
When Pearl Harbor was attached Melvin was 14 years old. He was drafted into the US Army, September 1945 at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. He took transportation corps training in the states of Louisiana and Wyoming. Melvin was sent to Europe and was assigned to transportation units in France and Germany.
