Biography

He flew out of Italy making bombing runs to Germany. He was a nose gunner on a B-24. On one run the plexi glass was shot out but he was not injured. On another mission they lost one motor. When he told about it he said ‘We came in on a wing and a prayer.’ He received the Air Medal of Honor.
