Biography

Fredric W. Eggers was born on June 26, 1921, in Nebraska. He attended Concordia Teachers’ College obtaining a Lutheran Teachers’ Diploma in June 1941. Later that year, he resided in Herrington, Kansas, as a teacher.

Eggers was drafted into the Army on November 18, 1942, and assigned number 02014336. He reached the rank of Second Lieutenant on August 22, 1943. He served in the medical corps for 39 months, 11 of which were in Puerto Rico.

In 1946, he married Esther Wheaton in Colorado. He attended Denver University, and they remained in Denver. They had at least one daughter and grandchild.
