Biography

Edgar Schimming was born in Hope, KS and attended school their until 4th grade. His family moved to Herington where he completed his schooling and graduated High School in 1938. He enlisted in the Army on 9/10/1942 and made corporal on November 1, 1942, Sergeant on February 1, 1943 and Staff Sergeant on July 15, 1943. He was stationed in Tucson, AZ.
