The 2026 programming season is dedicated to celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Join us throughout the year as we examine President Eisenhower’s top accomplishments in the continual pursuit of a more perfect Union.
These programs are all made possible courtesy of The Eisenhower Foundation.
Join us throughout 2026 for a year-long literary journey into the life, leadership, and lasting legacy of Dwight D. Eisenhower. Each season we’ll explore a different book about Ike and the era he shaped, beginning with a virtual roundtable discussion on Google Meet and culminating in an in-person evening with the author.
All sessions are free and open to the public. Virtual roundtables and author events begin at 6:00 p.m. Click the Google Meet link at the scheduled time to join the roundtable from anywhere.
Book 01
Ike’s Road Trip

This book explores Dwight Eisenhower’s participation in the 1919 Transcontinental Motor Convoy, which assessed the nation’s roadways for military use and later served as inspiration for the Interstate Highway Act of 1956.
