What is a Matching Gift?
A matching gift is when an employer matches an employee’s donation to an eligible organization. Companies typically match gifts 1:1, though some offer 2:1, 3:1, or even 4:1 matches.

Check whether your employer has a matching gift program! Matching gifts can double, and sometimes triple, the impact of your gift. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Some companies may also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
