The D-Day Experience

The Normandy Invasion on June 6, 1944, also known as D-Day, was a turning point in World War II. This program discusses the planning that day required, the decisions made by Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhhower, and features interviews of veterans who describe their experiences on D-Day. Students will compare and discuss the different experiences of each veteran.
