  1. Eisenhower Exhibits Now Located in Presidential Library

    While the Eisenhower Presidential Museum undergoes a comprehensive redesign, the exhibits will be located in the Presidential Library building. Visitors will see highlights of the life and times of Dwight D. Eisenhower from his boyhood in Abilene, Kansas, to his leadership development through both World Wars, and his two terms in the White House as the 34th President of the United States.

  1. Kansas Stories of the Vietnam War - memoir writing workshop

    May 19, 2018, 10:00 AM @ Visitors Center Auditorium

    To commemorate 50 years since the escalation of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War, Humanities Kansas is partnering with several organizations, including the Eisenhower Presidential Library, for a statewide project, “Kansas Stories of the Vietnam War.” Published poet and writing instructor, Al Ortolani, will discuss with attendees how to use notes, drafts, journal entries, and other methods to create moving and honest writing. Participants will have the opportunity to submit collected stories to the Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress. This workshop is free and open to the public.
