  1. Eisenhower Exhibits Now Located in Presidential Library

    While the Eisenhower Presidential Museum undergoes a comprehensive redesign, the exhibits will be located in the Presidential Library building. Visitors will see highlights of the life and times of Dwight D. Eisenhower from his boyhood in Abilene, Kansas, to his leadership development through both World Wars, and his two terms in the White House as the 34th President of the United States.

  1. Dwight D. Eisenhower's 128th birthday

    Several events this week commemorate Ike's birthday. Dwight David Eisenhower was born October 14, 1890, in Denison, Texas, the third of seven sons of David and Ida Eisenhower. His family returned to Abilene, Kansas, in 1892, where Ike grew up, graduated high school, and worked until he entered the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1911.
