Patriotic Concert by the Abilene Municipal Band

Sunday, June 2, 2019

Founded in 1881, this band marched in President Eisenhower's 1953 and 1957 inaugural parades and in every homecoming parade when Ike returned home to Abilene, Kansas. The second oldest band in Kansas, its hundred members range in age from 14 to 90 years. Every summer, Abilene locals and visitors gather in Eisenhower Park to enjoy the historic Abilene Municipal Band in weekly Thursday night concerts. Bring your friends and family to this free concert in the Visitors Center Auditorium. Come early and explore the I Like Ike gift shop for unique gifts.
