Lunch and Learn: Kansas Cosmosphere's SpaceWorks
Thursday, July 26, 2018
The July Lunch and Learn observes the 60th anniversary of NASA. On July 29, 1958, President Eisenhower signed the National Aeronautics and Space Act.
Jim Remar, President and CEO of the Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, will discuss the Cosmosphere's SpaceWorks Division. Since 1988, the team at SpaceWorks have created high-fidelity replicas, artifact restoration, installation of custom made display cases, exhibits and more. Their restoration work has helped to preserve the retrieved Saturn V F-1 engines from the Apollo program, the Liberty Bell 7 and the Odyssey—the Apollo 13 Command Module that calls the Cosmosphere home. Museums frequently contact the Cosmosphere for exhibit production and artifact restoration and replication.
A light lunch will be provided. First come, first served.
This program is sponsored by Anita K. Miller and Angela M. Holt, Ironstone Wealth Advisors with Ameriprise Financial in Abilene, Kansas.
