Annual Eisenhower Easter Egg Roll

Saturday, March 31, 2018

This is our 6th annual Eisenhower Easter Egg Roll on the campus of the Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home in Abilene, Kansas. This event is modeled after the White House Easter Egg Roll which has taken place in our nation's Capitol since the 1870s, except for a period of twelve years beginning during World War II. President and Mrs. Eisenhower revived the tradition in 1953. The Eisenhower Foundation partners with the Eisenhower Presidential Library and the Abilene Parks and Recreation Department to welcome hundreds of children and their families to Ike's boyhood home each year on the Saturday before Easter. The Easter egg hunt begins promptly at 1:00, followed by several activity stations including an egg roll, face painting, petting zoo, craft area, prize walk, Museum scavenger hunt and an opportunity to visit with the Easter Bunny. The 2018 Eisenhower Easter Egg Roll is sponsored by Family Eye Care, Bert & Wetta Sales and Pinnacle Bank, all of Abilene, Kansas.
