This field trip was one of the best I have been on in my seven years of teaching! It was very well organized but also very flexible. The activities held the students' attention and were very interested in all of the activities. I truly hope this grant remains available because it is very valuable to students!

Launched in 2017, Ike's Field Trip Fund is designed to provide financial support to schools visiting the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum.
Donations will be used to provide students with a unique field trip experience, a special lunch, and to reimburse schools for transportation expenses associated with visiting Abilene, Kansas. IKEducation's programs, as well as admission to the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, are offered free of charge to visiting school groups. Since launching in fall 2013, almost 30,000 students, teachers, and adults have taken part in this unique program. As one teacher explained, “It’s a once in a lifetime experience for most of the students!”
The Eisenhower Foundation supports Ike’s belief that, “The true purpose of education is to prepare young men and women for effective citizenship.” Never in our country’s history has it been more important for the youth of America to have a role model like Dwight D. Eisenhower, who knew that the essence of leadership involved the qualities of selfless dedication, courage, conviction, fortitude, humility, and the ability to inspire. IKEducation brings the story of this great American to today’s students, the next generation, through interactive programs that utilize primary sources from the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum.
IKEducation is made possible by generous contributions from the Friends of the Eisenhower Foundation and the following organizations:
Abilene ACBL Club
Beach-Edwards Family Foundation
Dane G. Hansen Foundation
Hall Family Foundation
Last Chance Graphics
R.A. Long Foundation Robert E. & Patricia Schmidt Foundation
Effie and Wofford Cain Foundation
